R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Proud members of the Lone Star Chapter of the
  National Charity League in Rockwall are celebrating the 40th
  anniversary of their organization's founding on May 6, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, The National Charity League is a nonprofit
  organization that fosters mother-daughter relationships through an
  ongoing commitment to philanthropy, culture, and leadership;
  encompassing 290 chapters and 200,000 members across 32 states, the
  organization helps strengthen family bonds while enabling mothers
  and daughters to participate in meaningful activities; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1983, the Lone Star Chapter was the
  first National Charity League chapter founded in Texas, and over
  the years, membership has grown to more than 300; the group supports
  a variety of charitable organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs
  of Northeast Texas, Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall
  County, Rockwall Animal Adoption Center, and the American Cancer
  Society; and
         WHEREAS, Over the past four decades, the Lone Star Chapter of
  the National Charity League has played a vital role in the
  community, and its members' willingness to give of their time and
  talents sets an outstanding example of civic engagement; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Lone
  Star Chapter of the National Charity League and extend to all those
  associated with the organization sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
