R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kacy Middleton has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
an intern in the office of State Representative Ann Johnson during |
|
|
the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff in August 2022, |
|
|
Ms. Middleton has provided vital assistance in handling a wide |
|
|
variety of challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|
|
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A student at The University of Texas at Austin, |
|
|
Ms. Middleton is pursuing a triple major in government, sociology, |
|
|
and rhetoric and writing in the Liberal Arts Honors Program; active |
|
|
in her campus community, she has served as public relations |
|
|
co-chair of the National Black Law Students Association UT Chapter, |
|
|
as a First-Year Interest Group mentor, and as a Longhorn |
|
|
Legislative Aide with the UT student government; moreover, she has |
|
|
volunteered with the kids ministry at The Austin Stone Community |
|
|
Church and acted as a Metroport teen court attorney for the City of |
|
|
Southlake; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Kacy Middleton has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Kacy Middleton for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Ann |
|
|
Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Middleton as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
