R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Teaching is a profession that calls for character, |
|
|
passion, and commitment, and Mike Sanders of the Leander |
|
|
Independent School District has demonstrated these qualities in |
|
|
abundance over the course of an outstanding career in education |
|
|
that has spanned more than three decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Sanders first joined the district 13 years ago; |
|
|
during his tenure, he has provided special education instruction to |
|
|
students with severe physical disabilities, and since 2020, he has |
|
|
taught in the LISD Homebound Program; through the years, he has |
|
|
worked tirelessly to meet the unique needs of each of his students |
|
|
and to promote their success; along the way, he has earned the deep |
|
|
admiration of the families he has served; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A leader in his field, Mr. Sanders has distinguished |
|
|
himself through his dedication, professionalism, and strong |
|
|
morals, and many of his colleagues in the district have benefited |
|
|
from his mentorship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mike Sanders has made a lasting and positive |
|
|
difference in the lives of countless area students, and he has set a |
|
|
standard of excellence to which all in his profession may aspire; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Mike Sanders for his contributions to the |
|
|
Leander Independent School District and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Sanders as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
