R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Michelle Mares has ably served her fellow Texans as
  an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during
  the 88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Mares joined the staff as a participant in the
  Texas A&M University Public Policy Internship Program; during her
  time at the State Capitol, she has provided vital assistance in
  handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, which have included
  managing the representative's schedule, conducting research,
  meeting with stakeholders, serving as a staffer for the House
  Committee on Ways and Means, and reviewing policy in such areas as
  health care, higher education, and agriculture and livestock; in
  addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
  service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
  issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Mares is on track to graduate with a bachelor's
  degree in community health in May 2023; since enrolling at Texas
  A&M, she has found time to serve as a resident advisor, as well as
  assistant director and director of cultural programs for MSC CAMAC;
  moreover, she has earned placement on the dean's honor roll, and she
  has further distinguished herself as a Hispanic Scholarship Fund
  Scholar and as a recipient of the Wesley John and Anna Mae Neumann
  Scholarship; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
  duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Michelle Mares for her service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner
  and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Mares as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
