R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Rhayne Trahan has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during |
|
|
the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Trahan joined the staff as a participant in the |
|
|
Bob Bullock Scholars Program of Baylor University; during her time |
|
|
at the State Capitol, she has provided vital assistance in handling |
|
|
a wide variety of challenging tasks, including research and |
|
|
analysis of legislation relating to criminal justice, veterans |
|
|
affairs, and the safety of individuals with intellectual and |
|
|
developmental disabilities; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|
|
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Trahan is a student at Baylor University, and |
|
|
she holds an associate's degree from McLennan Community College; |
|
|
she has previously served as a community assistant for American |
|
|
Campus Communities and as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, |
|
|
Food for Families, and President Joe Biden's presidential campaign; |
|
|
in addition, she helped to establish an annual suicide prevention |
|
|
awareness walk at Stephen F. Austin State University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Trahan has performed her duties as a legislative |
|
|
aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|
|
special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Rhayne Trahan for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Trahan as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
