R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katherine Sarahan has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
|
as an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during |
|
|
the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Sarahan has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
which have included conducting legislative research, assisting |
|
|
with office communications, and helping track bills regarding |
|
|
energy, the environment, transportation, and housing; in addition |
|
|
to gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she |
|
|
has learned more about the legislative process and the issues |
|
|
facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Sarahan is currently pursuing a degree in |
|
|
political science and Spanish at Southwestern University, and she |
|
|
is set to graduate in May 2023; she previously completed an |
|
|
internship with U.S. Congress member Lloyd Doggett and was a fellow |
|
|
for the Watson Eckhardt Organizing Academy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Katherine Sarahan for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Sarahan as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
