R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The passing of Michelle Therese Adjemian of El Paso |
|
on November 16, 2022, at the age of 39, brought an immeasurable loss |
|
to her family and friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Bertha and Michael Adjemian, |
|
Michelle Adjemian was born on April 21, 1983; she was a committed |
|
champion for individuals with disabilities, and she tirelessly |
|
advocated for improvements to accessibility amenities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Adjemian gave generously of her time and talents |
|
to serve the local chapter of the National Spinal Cord Injury |
|
Association as well as the City Accessibility Advisory Committee; |
|
she further distinguished herself as board president of Volar |
|
Center for Independent Living, as president of the Sun Metro |
|
Accessibility Advisory Committee, and as a peer support specialist |
|
for the Children's Disabilities Information Coalition; in |
|
addition, she organized numerous meetings, events, donation |
|
drives, and other initiatives of the Cielo Vista Neighborhood |
|
Association; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Michelle Adjemian is deeply missed, |
|
memories of her kindness, her strength, and her dedication to her |
|
family and her fellow citizens remain to comfort and inspire those |
|
she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Michelle Therese |
|
Adjemian and extend heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Michelle |
|
Adjemian. |
