R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Miranda Williams has distinguished herself in her
  responsibilities as committee director for the House Committee on
  Corrections and its chair, State Representative Abel Herrero,
  during the 88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Williams has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of responsibilities in
  support of Representative Herrero in his role as chair of the
  Corrections Committee; she helped organize committee proceedings,
  authored reports for bills voted out of the committee, and met with
  constituents, advocates, and special-interest groups to discuss
  topics relating to criminal justice, prison administration, and
  parole and community supervision; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Williams graduated from Bucknell University in
  2022 with an economics degree; while enrolled, she served as a
  teaching assistant in the school's economics department and as an
  intern in its office of communications; and
         WHEREAS, Miranda Williams has performed her duties as
  committee director with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Miranda Williams for her service as
  committee director for the House Committee on Corrections and its
  chair, State Representative Abel Herrero, and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Williams as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
