R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss |
|
with the tragic passing of Jessica Carol McKinley of Austin on July |
|
4, 2022, at the age of 23; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Toni McKinley and Craig McKinley, |
|
Jessica McKinley was born in Chandler, Arizona, on June 17, 1999, |
|
and she grew up in Austin with the companionship of three siblings, |
|
Brittney, William, and Matthew; she graduated from McNeil High |
|
School in 2017; and |
|
WHEREAS, A young woman of many interests, Ms. McKinley taught |
|
herself sign language and Spanish and how to play piano during her |
|
youth; she dreamed of one day attending the Juilliard School of |
|
Music, and she was working to establish a skin care business at the |
|
time of her passing; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. McKinley loved nature and animals, and she |
|
treasured time spent with her cat, Moo, and her dog, Lemon; she |
|
greatly enriched the lives of her family and friends with her warm |
|
sense of humor and caring nature, and she was always happy to lend |
|
an ear to anyone who needed to talk; and |
|
WHEREAS, Intelligent, kind, and adventurous, Jessica |
|
McKinley brightened the world for all who knew her, and they will |
|
forever carry her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jessica Carol |
|
McKinley and extend sincere condolences to the members of her |
|
family: to her mother, Toni McKinley; to her father, Craig |
|
McKinley; to her siblings, Brittney, William, and Matthew; and to |
|
her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jessica |
|
McKinley. |
