R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Julian Jones of Early College High School has been |
|
named the 2024 Secondary Teacher of the Year in the Round Rock |
|
Independent School District; and |
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones has been an educator for nine years, and |
|
he currently teaches world geography at Early College High School, |
|
where he uses a project-based approach to encourage students to |
|
create meaningful work while developing skills that will prepare |
|
them for professional life; in addition, he provides class members |
|
with opportunities to explore career paths related to the course |
|
material; and |
|
WHEREAS, Julian Jones exemplifies the passion, |
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Julian Jones on his selection as |
|
the 2024 Secondary Teacher of the Year in the Round Rock Independent |
|
School District and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success with his important work; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Jones as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
