R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tina Ly of Anahuac High School has been selected for
  the STEM Enhancement in Earth Science Summer High School Intern
  Program at The University of Texas at Austin Center for Space
  Research; and
         WHEREAS, This nationally competitive program is a
  collaborative effort of UT Austin and NASA that allows students to
  work with scientists and engineers to conduct research on data
  received from NASA's earth-observing satellites; in addition,
  participants will complete a Python coding course, design Mars
  habitats, and analyze images from the International Space Station;
  and
         WHEREAS, This year, nearly 2,000 applicants vied for a spot
  in the program, and Tina Ly was one of only 95 individuals selected
  to participate; and
         WHEREAS, Exciting opportunities and experiences await this
  outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing
  her for this noteworthy accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tina Ly on her selection for the
  STEM Enhancement in Earth Science Summer High School Intern Program
  at The University of Texas at Austin Center for Space Research and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Ly as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
