R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Marla Sandoval has distinguished herself as a member |
|
|
of Class VIII of the RGV Leadership program in 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 2014 as an initiative of the Rio |
|
|
Grande Valley Partnership, RGV Leadership promotes the importance |
|
|
of collaboration and engagement between citizens of Starr, Hidalgo, |
|
|
Willacy, and Cameron Counties; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Meeting regularly over the course of a nine-month |
|
|
period, program participants cultivate relationships with leaders |
|
|
across the four-county region and explore a number of pressing |
|
|
issues, including health care, water security, economics, higher |
|
|
education, transportation, and infrastructure; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By taking part in this prestigious program, Marla |
|
|
Sandoval has gained a more comprehensive understanding of the |
|
|
challenges and opportunities facing her fellow residents, as well |
|
|
as a renewed dedication to civic engagement, and it is a pleasure to |
|
|
join in recognizing her for this notable accomplishment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |

|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Marla Sandoval on graduating as a |
|
|
member of Class VIII of RGV Leadership and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Sandoval as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
