R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Nicholas Cooper has distinguished himself in his |
|
responsibilities as an aide in the office of State Representative |
|
Angelia Orr during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Cooper has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of tasks, such as |
|
shepherding bills through the legislative process and |
|
communicating with constituents; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about |
|
the legislative process and the issues facing the citizens of the |
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Cooper brought to his position previous |
|
experience as an executive assistant in the Texas General Land |
|
Office, as an administrative assistant for former Texas Secretary |
|
of State Ruth Hughs, and as a press intern in the Office of the Texas |
|
Governor; a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, he was |
|
recently accepted into the Bush School of Government and Public |
|
Service at Texas A&M University, where he will begin pursuing his |
|
master's degree in the fall; and |
|
WHEREAS, Nicholas Cooper has performed his duties as a |
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and his strong work |
|
ethic and positive attitude have been an invaluable asset to the |
|
office; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Nicholas Cooper for his service as a |
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Angelia Orr |
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Cooper as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
