R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Nicholas Cooper has distinguished himself in his
  responsibilities as an aide in the office of State Representative
  Angelia Orr during the 88th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Cooper has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of tasks, such as
  shepherding bills through the legislative process and
  communicating with constituents; in addition to gaining valuable
  experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about
  the legislative process and the issues facing the citizens of the
  Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Cooper brought to his position previous
  experience as an executive assistant in the Texas General Land
  Office, as an administrative assistant for former Texas Secretary
  of State Ruth Hughs, and as a press intern in the Office of the Texas
  Governor; a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, he was
  recently accepted into the Bush School of Government and Public
  Service at Texas A&M University, where he will begin pursuing his
  master's degree in the fall; and
         WHEREAS, Nicholas Cooper has performed his duties as a
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and his strong work
  ethic and positive attitude have been an invaluable asset to the
  office; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Nicholas Cooper for his service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Angelia Orr
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Cooper as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
