R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cason Moorman has distinguished himself in his |
|
|
responsibilities as an intern in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Ed Thompson during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Moorman joined the staff as a participant in the |
|
|
Texas A&M University Public Policy Internship Program; during his |
|
|
time at the State Capitol, he has provided vital assistance in |
|
|
handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, which have included |
|
|
managing the representative's schedule, conducting legislative |
|
|
research, and assisting with constituent casework; in addition to |
|
|
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has |
|
|
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|
|
citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan is currently enrolled |
|
|
at Texas A&M University, where he is expecting to graduate with a |
|
|
bachelor's degree in agriculture economics in May 2024 and with a |
|
|
master's degree in public service and administration in May 2026; |
|
|
active in many organizations on campus, he has served as chair of |
|
|
the Development Subcommittee for Freshmen Leaders in Education, and |
|
|
he has volunteered with TAMU BUILD, where he worked with other |
|
|
students to convert shipping containers into portable community |
|
|
health clinics; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cason Moorman has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Cason Moorman for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Ed |
|
|
Thompson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Moorman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
