R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Rotary Club of Kingsville is celebrating the
  100th anniversary of its founding on May 26, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Rotary International is an organization of
  professionals and community leaders who are devoted to the mission
  of providing humanitarian service, encouraging high ethical
  standards in all vocations, and promoting peace and goodwill in the
  world; embracing the Rotary concept of service, leaders in the
  Kingsville community established the Rotary Club of Kingsville,
  which received its charter on May 26, 1923; and
         WHEREAS, Over the past century, the Rotary Club of Kingsville
  has embodied the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self" through its
  civic projects and youth activities, its support for the Rotary
  Foundation, and its commitment to the End Polio Now campaign; the
  club has received many awards of recognition, and seven of its
  members have gone on to serve as district governors for Rotary
  International; the club also inspired the creation of the Rotary
  Club of Kingsville Sunrise, which has provided even more
  opportunities for leaders in the city to serve; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout its history, the men and women of the
  Rotary Club of Kingsville have played a vital role in the betterment
  of their community, and it is a pleasure to honor the organization
  as it celebrates this impressive milestone; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Rotary
  Club of Kingsville and extend to the club's members sincere best
  wishes for continued success with their many good works; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
