R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Michael Don Warren of Flower Mound on July 28, 2022, at
  the age of 77; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Pittsburg, Texas, on March 8, 1945, to Jim
  Bob and Fern Ellen Warren, Mike Warren grew up with the
  companionship of two brothers, Jim and Gary; after graduating from
  Athens High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and
  went on to serve as an aircraft maintenance specialist; he was
  deployed to Thailand during the Vietnam War, and upon being
  honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant, he returned to Athens
  and embarked on a career in law enforcement; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Warren worked as a Kaufman police officer, a
  deputy of water safety in Henderson County, and a Henderson County
  constable; in 1972, he began pursuing his lifelong dream of
  becoming a Texas game warden, and he was assigned to his first duty
  station in Center; he later found his way back to Athens, and he
  served the Henderson County community for several decades before
  retiring from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department on December
  31, 2002; and
         WHEREAS, While employed in Kaufman, Mr. Warren met the love
  of his life, the former Paula Jean Evans, whom he wed in February
  1972; during their five decades of marriage, the couple shared in
  the joy of raising a daughter, Micha Dawn, and they later welcomed
  into their family a cherished granddaughter, Trinity; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his faith, Mr. Warren found
  fulfillment in his volunteer service at Cayuga Drive Baptist Church
  and Dogwood Baptist Church for more than 30 years; he benefited his
  congregation as a deacon and in various other capacities, and he
  enjoyed supporting Bobby Farley's ministry in Belize by taking
  trips to deliver supplies; and
         WHEREAS, Although he is greatly missed, Mike Warren has left
  his loved ones with many treasured memories, and they will forever
  hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Michael Don Warren and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Paula Warren; to his daughter, Micha Clark, and her husband, T. J.;
  to his granddaughter, Trinity Clark; to his brothers, Jim Bob
  Warren and Gary Wayne Warren, and their spouses, Quita Warren and
  Toni Warren; to his brother-in-law, Coy Wayne Evans, and his wife,
  Darlene; to his sister-in-law, Tamara Warren; to his nieces and
  nephews, Misty Warren, Trae Warren, Shelly Warren-Weiss, Kelly
  Warren, Quinn Glass, Coy Glen Evans, Rusty Evans, and Renee Evans;
  and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mike
  Warren.
