R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Rubi Ann Amaya has been named valedictorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2023 at West Oso High School in Corpus Christi, and she |
|
|
indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant |
|
|
honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the |
|
|
top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Amaya demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of |
|
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
|
high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |
|
|
recognized for her hard work, she has gained the opportunity to |
|
|
address her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their |
|
|
shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at West Oso High School, Rubi Ann |
|
|
Amaya has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rubi Ann Amaya on graduating as |
|
|
valedictorian of the West Oso High School Class of 2023 and extend |
|
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the |
|
|
next exciting chapter of her life. |
