R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jonathon Ryan Jimenez Jr. has been named |
|
|
valedictorian of the Class of 2023 at Collegiate High School in |
|
|
Corpus Christi, and he indeed merits special recognition for |
|
|
receiving this significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing his place as the |
|
|
top-ranking student in his class, Mr. Jimenez demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his |
|
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |
|
|
recognized for his hard work, he has gained the opportunity to |
|
|
address his fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their |
|
|
shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During his years at Collegiate High School, Jonathon |
|
|
Ryan Jimenez Jr. has earned the respect and admiration of both his |
|
|
teachers and classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |

|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jonathon Ryan Jimenez Jr. on |
|
|
graduating as valedictorian of the Collegiate High School Class of |
|
|
2023 and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as |
|
|
he begins the next exciting chapter of his life. |
