R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kiara La'Rose Miller has been named salutatorian of |
|
|
the Class of 2023 at Harold T. Branch Academy in Corpus Christi, and |
|
|
she indeed merits special recognition for receiving this |
|
|
significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|
|
top-ranking students in her class, Ms. Miller demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |
|
|
recognized for her hard work, she has gained the opportunity to |
|
|
address her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their |
|
|
shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Harold T. Branch Academy, Kiara |
|
|
La'Rose Miller has earned the respect and admiration of both her |
|
|
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kiara La'Rose Miller on graduating |
|
|
as salutatorian of the Harold T. Branch Academy Class of 2023 and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life. |
