R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Nicole Hawkins ably served her fellow Texans as the
  constituent services and outreach manager in the office of State
  Representative Chris Turner during the 87th Legislature and the
  succeeding interim; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Hawkins worked in Representative Turner's
  office from July 2021 until November 2022, and over the course of
  her tenure, she tirelessly supported the representative's efforts
  in behalf of his constituents; an astute and empathetic problem
  solver, she helped residents with a range of issues; she drafted
  constituent correspondence and communications, implemented
  constituent recognition programs, and organized such events as a
  drive-through COVID-19 vaccination clinic and multiple town hall
  meetings; moreover, she assisted with legislation to protect the
  rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities;
  and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas Christian University with a
  degree in journalism and political science, Ms. Hawkins currently
  serves as a communications associate at the George W. Bush
  Institute; she has previously completed internships with the City
  of Arlington, the HOLLAND Collective, and a number of news
  publications; in addition, she has served as a casework specialist
  for the Texas House of Representatives; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee performed her duties
  in Representative Turner's office with skill and dedication, and
  she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Nicole Hawkins for her service as
  constituent services and outreach manager in the office of State
  Representative Chris Turner and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Hawkins as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
