R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tom Schwenk, a broker and owner of Coldwell Banker
  TGRE in Galveston, was inducted into the Realtor Political Action
  Committee (RPAC) Hall of Fame at the REALTORS Legislative Meetings,
  which took place in Washington, D.C., from May 6-11, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, The RPAC Hall of Fame recognizes Realtors who have
  made significant contributions to the organization over the course
  of their careers; this marks Mr. Schwenk's second time being
  inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame, having previously received
  this honor in 2018; and
         WHEREAS, After retiring as the vice president of sales and
  marketing for a home furnishings company, Mr. Schwenk earned his
  real estate license in 2003; he founded Coldwell Banker TGRE five
  years ago and now has 16 team members in his office; furthermore, he
  is a successful residential and commercial leasing agent and
  property manager; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Schwenk has served as the political involvement
  chair for Texas Realtors, a role in which he has dedicated himself
  to protecting the rights of Texas property owners; he was
  previously president of the Galveston Association of Realtors,
  which named him its Realtor of the Year in 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Actively involved in his community, Mr. Schwenk is a
  former chair of the Landmark Commission for the City of Galveston,
  as well as a former president of the Galveston Historical
  Foundation; moreover, he has been named a Paul Harris Fellow of the
  Rotary Club of Galveston Island, and he currently volunteers his
  time as vice chair of the Galveston College Foundation and as a
  board member for the Resource & Crisis Center of Galveston County;
  and
         WHEREAS, In recognition of his generous support for
  charitable causes and historical preservation efforts, Mr. Schwenk
  has received such accolades as a 2019 Service Award from the
  Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council and a 2018 Vic Pierson
  Award from the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce, which also
  honored him as a Community Hero in 2017; and
         WHEREAS, Tom Schwenk has earned the respect and admiration of
  his fellow citizens and his peers in the real estate industry, and
  he may indeed reflect with pride on his wide-ranging
  accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tom Schwenk on his induction into
  the RPAC Hall of Fame and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Schwenk as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
