R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce, formerly
  known as the West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce, recently
  underwent a name change to reflect the growth and development of the
  community it has served for nearly 40 years; and
         WHEREAS, Founded in 1984, the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of
  Commerce is a dynamic business organization that works to
  strengthen relationships between businesses, educational
  institutions, governmental entities, and the community with the
  mission of ensuring the long-term economic health of the area; and
         WHEREAS, West Chambers County's economy is largely driven by
  liquefied petroleum gas production and related businesses, and the
  area is home to Enterprise Products, ExxonMobil, Targa Resources,
  Energy Transfer, ONEOK, Covestro, and Chevron Phillips Chemical
  facilities; the community benefits greatly from the job
  opportunities provided by these businesses, and families in the
  area are fortunate to be served by the top-rated Barbers Hill
  Independent School District; and
         WHEREAS, The population of Mont Belvieu has steadily
  increased since the chamber was originally established, and it is
  today recognized as one of the fastest-growing cities in the
  Houston area; as the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber approaches its 40th
  anniversary in 2024, the organization continues to honor its
  commitment to supporting businesses and organizations within its
  service region, including Mont Belvieu as well as Beach City, Cove,
  and Old River-Winfree; and
         WHEREAS, The Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce is
  dedicated to building an even brighter future for the community in
  the decades to come, and the members of this outstanding
  organization are deserving of recognition for all that they have
  achieved; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce
  as it approaches its 40th anniversary in 2024 and extend to all
  those affiliated with the chamber sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
