R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Dr. Karen Campion of Bryan was elected president of
  the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards at its 96th Annual
  Congress held in West Palm Beach, Florida, in April 2023; and
         WHEREAS, As president of FCLB, Dr. Campion will be
  responsible for guiding the organization in maintaining high,
  uniform standards related to chiropractic licensure, regulation,
  discipline, and education; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Campion brings to the position a wealth of
  experience and expertise in the field of chiropractic, as well as a
  strong background in leadership; she previously served the FCLB as
  board chair in 2021 and 2022, and she was also its District IV
  regional director; in addition, she served from 2016 to 2018 as vice
  president of the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners; she has
  been an active member of the Texas Chiropractic Association and
  received its highest honor, the Keeler Plaque, in 2022; and
         WHEREAS, A 1989 graduate of Texas Chiropractic College,
  Dr. Campion opened her practice in College Station that same year;
  she earned certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner, and
  she is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical
  Acupuncture; although she retired in 2021, she continues to
  practice on a part-time basis; and
         WHEREAS, Karen Campion has demonstrated an exceptional
  commitment to her profession and to the important work of the
  Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, and her new role will
  allow her to make further contributions to the advancement of
  chiropractic in Texas and beyond; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Karen Campion on her election
  as president of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for a successful tenure in office;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Campion as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
