R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cecilia Bee Garcia has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
|
as legislative director in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Venton Jones during the 88th Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Garcia's resourcefulness and initiative have |
|
|
earned the appreciation of her colleagues, and her contributions to |
|
|
carrying forth Representative Jones's legislative agenda have |
|
|
helped address such important issues as public health and criminal |
|
|
justice; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Garcia attended The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin, where she participated in the J.J. Pickle Research |
|
|
Fellowship program and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's |
|
|
degree in government; she is also a professional mariachi singer |
|
|
and violinist; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her |
|
|
duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and she |
|
|
is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Cecilia Bee Garcia for her service as |
|
|
legislative director in the office of State Representative Venton |
|
|
Jones and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in |
|
|
all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Garcia as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
