R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
an aide in the office of State Representative Jarvis Johnson during |
|
|
the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Milne has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
such as analyzing bills and managing social media; in addition to |
|
|
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has |
|
|
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|
|
citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Sarah Milne and Keith Milne, |
|
|
Ms. Milne is currently pursuing a master's degree in public affairs |
|
|
at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University |
|
|
of Texas at Austin; she has received the Helen J. and Robert S. |
|
|
Strauss Fellowship, the Barefoot Sanders Excellence Fund in |
|
|
Effective Governing, and the J. J. Pickle Fellowship, and she has |
|
|
served on the board of the school's Student Collective for |
|
|
Abolitionist Learning; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Katharine Milne for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jarvis |
|
|
Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Milne as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
