R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The boys' 400-meter relay team from Bushland High |
|
|
School achieved great distinction by winning the 3A silver medal at |
|
|
the 2023 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State |
|
|
Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |
|
|
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 11, team members |
|
|
Ivan Soto, Tanner Adams, Tate Butcher, and Baylor King turned in a |
|
|
notable performance, claiming second place with a time of 41.72 |
|
|
seconds; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, these talented runners have |
|
|
ably represented their school and community, and they will cherish |
|
|
their memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to |
|
|
come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Bushland High School boys' |
|
|
400-meter relay team on its silver-medal finish in the 3A event at |
|
|
the 2023 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to the athletes |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
