R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Michelle Dean has earned great distinction with her |
|
|
outstanding service as principal of Frank Black Middle School in |
|
|
the Houston Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of a career in education that has |
|
|
spanned more than three decades, Ms. Dean has served Houston ISD |
|
|
for over 20 years; she taught science at Bellaire High School before |
|
|
becoming the seventh-grade dean of students at Black Middle School |
|
|
in 2016, and she was named the Houston ISD 1st Year Principal of the |
|
|
Year for 2022-2023; she holds a bachelor's degree from Sam Houston |
|
|
State University and a master's degree in educational leadership |
|
|
from Stephen F. Austin State University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A quality education is critical to the continuing |
|
|
vitality of our state, and Michelle Dean is playing an instrumental |
|
|
role in helping students to reach their full potential and become |
|
|
engaged and productive members of their community; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Michelle Dean for her contributions as |
|
|
principal of Frank Black Middle School and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Dean as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
