R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Rachel |
|
Cabrera Flores of Robstown, who passed away on March 27, 2023, at |
|
the age of 68; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Rosalio and Teresa Cisneros Cabrera, |
|
Rachel Flores was born on April 7, 1954, in Robstown, and she grew |
|
up with the companionship of three brothers, Raul, Rogelio, and |
|
Romeo, and two sisters, Rebecca and Rosaura; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Flores worked for the Robstown Independent |
|
School District for 15 years; over the course of her career, she was |
|
also employed by Pediatrix Dental; and |
|
WHEREAS, Devoted to her family, Mrs. Flores shared a |
|
rewarding marriage with her husband, Armando Flores Jr., and she |
|
took great pride in her four sons, Armando, Alfred, Andrew, and |
|
Adam, and in her nine grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Rachel Flores |
|
will remember the way she touched their lives with her warmth and |
|
ever-present smile, and she will forever hold a treasured place in |
|
their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Rachel Cabrera |
|
Flores and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: |
|
to her husband, Armando Flores Jr.; to her sons, Armando Flores III |
|
and his wife, Sonia, Alfred Flores and his wife, Sonia, Andrew |
|
Flores and his wife, Yvonne, and Adam Flores and his wife, |
|
Gwendolynn; to her siblings, Raul Cabrera and his wife, Alicia, |
|
Rebecca Garcia and her husband, Luis, Rogelio Cabrera and his wife, |
|
Marisela, and Romeo Cabrera and his wife, Sulema; to her |
|
grandchildren; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rachel |
|
Flores. |
