R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |
|
|
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends |
|
|
of Carl Allen Hill Sr. of Bishop, who passed away on January 14, |
|
|
2023, at the age of 53; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Gay and Joe Bob Crabb, Carl Hill was born |
|
|
on January 18, 1969, and grew up sharing in the companionship of his |
|
|
two sisters, Candy and Sue; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to protecting the lives and property of |
|
|
his fellow citizens, Mr. Hill began his career as a volunteer |
|
|
firefighter with Nueces County Emergency Services District No. 3, |
|
|
and he went on to become the fire chief for the Bishop Volunteer |
|
|
Fire Department and in Kenedy County; he also served as a |
|
|
commissioner for NCESD No. 3 for nearly three decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hill took great pride in his children, Jesi, |
|
|
Summer, Mondana, and Carl, and as the years passed, he had the |
|
|
privilege of seeing his family grow to include 10 grandchildren; in |
|
|
his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was also a |
|
|
valued member of the Church of Christ; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Carl Hill will |
|
|
remember the way he touched their lives with his generosity, |
|
|
strength of character, and delightful sense of humor, and he will |
|
|
forever hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Carl Allen Hill Sr. |
|
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
|
parents, Gay and Joe Bob Crabb; to his children, Jesi Rivera, Summer |
|
|
Hill and her husband, Miguel Perez, Mondana Hill, and Carl Hill II |
|
|
and his wife, Demeika; to his grandchildren; to his sisters, Candy |
|
|
Jo Fuller and her husband, Todd, and Sue Hill Bonar; to his aunt, |
|
|
Joy Hill Lea; to his uncles, Lacey Hill and Richard Hill; and to his |
|
|
other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carl Hill. |
