R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
  meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends
  of Carl Allen Hill Sr. of Bishop, who passed away on January 14,
  2023, at the age of 53; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Gay and Joe Bob Crabb, Carl Hill was born
  on January 18, 1969, and grew up sharing in the companionship of his
  two sisters, Candy and Sue; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to protecting the lives and property of
  his fellow citizens, Mr. Hill began his career as a volunteer
  firefighter with Nueces County Emergency Services District No. 3,
  and he went on to become the fire chief for the Bishop Volunteer
  Fire Department and in Kenedy County; he also served as a
  commissioner for NCESD No. 3 for nearly three decades; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hill took great pride in his children, Jesi,
  Summer, Mondana, and Carl, and as the years passed, he had the
  privilege of seeing his family grow to include 10 grandchildren; in
  his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was also a
  valued member of the Church of Christ; and
         WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Carl Hill will
  remember the way he touched their lives with his generosity,
  strength of character, and delightful sense of humor, and he will
  forever hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Carl Allen Hill Sr.
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  parents, Gay and Joe Bob Crabb; to his children, Jesi Rivera, Summer
  Hill and her husband, Miguel Perez, Mondana Hill, and Carl Hill II
  and his wife, Demeika; to his grandchildren; to his sisters, Candy
  Jo Fuller and her husband, Todd, and Sue Hill Bonar; to his aunt,
  Joy Hill Lea; to his uncles, Lacey Hill and Richard Hill; and to his
  other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carl Hill.
