R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort |
|
those saddened by the death of Aida Ramirez Garcia of Robstown on |
|
December 5, 2022, at the age of 73; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Aida Ramirez was born to Mauricio and |
|
Beatrice Villarreal Ramirez in Robstown on October 6, 1949, and she |
|
grew up with the companionship of seven siblings, Delma, Diana, |
|
Gilbert, Mauricio, Alfredo, Armando, and Yolanda; for many years, |
|
she served as a crossing guard for the Robstown Independent School |
|
District; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, she enjoyed the love and |
|
support of her husband, Casildo Garcia Jr., with whom she shared a |
|
rewarding marriage that spanned 56 years; Mrs. Garcia took great |
|
pride in her four children, Jo Ann, Andrew, Patrick, and Robert, who |
|
preceded his mother in death, and with the passing years, she had |
|
the pleasure of welcoming into her family 11 grandchildren and 9 |
|
great-grandchildren; a woman of deep faith, she was a strong |
|
believer in the power of prayer; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Aida Garcia is greatly missed, those who |
|
held her dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness she |
|
brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Aida Ramirez Garcia |
|
and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Aida |
|
Garcia. |
