R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Natalie Villafranca has distinguished herself in |
|
her responsibilities as a PowerHouse Texas Policy Fellow and aide |
|
in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchía during the 88th |
|
Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Villafranca has |
|
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging |
|
tasks, and she has focused her efforts on such critical issues as |
|
energy, the environment, and immigration; and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of Dallas, |
|
Ms. Villafranca recently completed a master's degree in biology at |
|
Texas State University, and she plans on pursuing a doctorate in |
|
marine and environmental biology at the University of Southern |
|
California; in the course of her academic career, she has |
|
contributed to research at the undergraduate and graduate levels, |
|
and she has authored several publications; she belongs to the Beta |
|
Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, the Society for Advancement of |
|
Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science, and the Society |
|
for Integrative and Comparative Biology; and |
|
WHEREAS, Natalie Villafranca has performed her duties as a |
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Natalie Villafranca for her service as a |
|
PowerHouse Texas Policy Fellow and legislative aide in the office |
|
of State Representative Rafael Anchía and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Villafranca as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
