R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Oscar Rico is participating in that joyful occasion |
|
|
with his graduation from North Garland High School on May 25, 2023; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although the members of the Class of 2023 will soon |
|
|
go their separate ways, the time that they have shared at North |
|
|
Garland High has created a lasting bond, and the knowledge and |
|
|
experiences that Mr. Rico has gained there will forever enrich his |
|
|
life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning a high school diploma requires hard work and |
|
|
dedication, and Mr. Rico, a first-generation Mexican American |
|
|
student, can reflect with pride on the perseverance he has |
|
|
demonstrated in the pursuit of his goals; he has skillfully |
|
|
balanced his academic responsibilities with his job working |
|
|
alongside his father in construction, and he plans to pursue a |
|
|
career in emergency medical services and firefighting; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Oscar Rico on the occasion of his |
|
|
high school graduation and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Rico as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
