R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Melanie Montoya has been named salutatorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2023 at Skyline High School in Dallas, and she indeed |
|
|
merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|
|
top-ranking students in her class, Ms. Montoya demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Montoya earned an associate of science degree |
|
|
from Skyline Early College High School; she distinguished herself |
|
|
as a member of the National Honor Society and Health Occupations |
|
|
Students of America, and she plans to pursue a degree in animal |
|
|
science at Texas A&M University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at Skyline High, Melanie Montoya |
|
|
has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Melanie Montoya on graduating as |
|
|
salutatorian of the Skyline High School Class of 2023 and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
|
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Montoya as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
