R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Clay Cortez has ably served his fellow Texans as |
|
|
legislative director in the office of State Representative Josey |
|
|
Garcia during the 88th Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff in January 2023, Mr. Cortez |
|
|
has earned the appreciation of his colleagues with his |
|
|
resourcefulness and initiative, and he has been instrumental in |
|
|
fostering a positive work environment; he has been involved in the |
|
|
preparation of more than 200 pieces of legislation, and his |
|
|
contributions to carrying forth Representative Garcia's |
|
|
legislative agenda have played an important role in addressing |
|
|
issues facing citizens across the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his |
|
|
duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Clay Cortez for his service as |
|
|
legislative director in the office of State Representative Josey |
|
|
Garcia and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Cortez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
