R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, State Representative Terry Wilson has benefited |
|
|
immeasurably from the outstanding work of his office's interns |
|
|
throughout the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Dallas, Beck Wagoner attends Austin |
|
|
Community College; he serves as a camp counselor during the summer |
|
|
at Camp Longhorn Indian Springs and is a member of the Sigma Alpha |
|
|
Epsilon fraternity; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cayden Cherne is a recent graduate of Georgetown |
|
|
High School, where she was captain of the varsity swim team and |
|
|
graduated in the top 10 percent of her class; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Waco High School, David "Dax" Roberson |
|
|
III is an economics major at The University of Texas at Austin and |
|
|
is involved with the Kappa Alpha fraternity and the University |
|
|
Finance Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout the legislative session, Kristine Meyer |
|
|
has distinguished herself with her commitment to community |
|
|
involvement and public service; an exceptional student as well, she |
|
|
has demonstrated a strong interest in medicine and law and is active |
|
|
in numerous research projects and organizations on her campus; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During his internship, Lucas Pope excelled at |
|
|
analyzing legislation; a graduate of Lamar High School in Houston, |
|
|
he is in the Plan II Honors program at UT Austin and a member of the |
|
|
Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Markham Dossett attends Austin Community College |
|
|
and plans to transfer to UT Austin to study economics; he has also |
|
|
gained valuable experience working on his family's ranch near |
|
|
Crawford; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Wesley Gafford recently earned a bachelor's degree |
|
|
in political science from St. Edward's University, where he has |
|
|
been a starting pitcher on the school's baseball team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These esteemed public servants have all performed |
|
|
their duties with skill and dedication, and they are indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for their fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend the interns in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Terry Wilson for their exemplary service and extend |
|
|
to them sincere best wishes for continued success in all their |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for Representative Wilson's interns as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
