R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Edgar Rex Burr of Clint, who passed away on December 22,
  2020, at the age of 75; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Edgar and Helen Burr, Eddie Rex Burr was
  born in El Paso on November 3, 1945; he grew up with the
  companionship of nine siblings, Susan, Elvaree, Martin, Bean,
  William, Carol, Judy, Linda, and James, and he and his brothers
  spent summers working on the Esperanza and Los Charcos Ranches in
  Chihuahua, Mexico; and
         WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Burr served
  in the U.S. Marines and was on active duty from 1965 to 1968; after a
  13-month tour of duty in Vietnam, he became a member of the reserves
  until he was honorably discharged in 1971; and
         WHEREAS, For years, Mr. Burr owned and operated E. R. Burr
  Livestock Transportation; following his retirement from cattle
  hauling, he worked on ranches in California, Arizona, and New
  Mexico until he moved back to Clint; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Burr married the love of his life, Sandra Bean,
  on November 1, 1968, in El Paso, and he took great pride in their
  children, Bubba and Sue Anne, and grandchildren, Preston, Laynee,
  and Zane; in his leisure time, Mr. Burr enjoyed attending rodeos,
  dancing to the music of Bob Wills, and watching the sunset; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted family man and a true Texas cowboy, Eddie
  Rex Burr leaves behind a legacy that will long be treasured by all
  those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Edgar Rex Burr and
  extend deepest condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Sandra; to his son, Ed, and his wife, Christy; to his sisters,
  Susan and her husband, Bill, and Elvaree Elizabeth and her husband,
  Ben; to his brothers, Martin, Bean and his wife, Martha, and William
  Edgar and his wife, Roberta; to his grandchildren, Preston, Laynee,
  and Zane; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eddie Rex
  Burr.
