R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center was |
|
honored as the 2023 Best Place to Work at the Round Rock Chamber's |
|
annual awards banquet on February 15, 2023; and |
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the Round Rock Chamber recognizes |
|
deserving businesses, organizations, and individuals for their |
|
achievements and their contributions to the local community; and |
|
WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center was |
|
founded in 1997 to provide children and families with a safe, |
|
welcoming place to share their experiences of abuse; the center |
|
works alongside local law enforcement and the Department of Family |
|
and Protective Services to ensure the integrity of child abuse |
|
investigations; in addition to forensic interviews, it offers |
|
medical examinations, mental health counseling, and other |
|
education and advocacy services; and |
|
WHEREAS, Employing a staff of around 30 people, the center |
|
has earned praise for its positive workplace environment as well as |
|
its values, culture, community outreach efforts, and employee |
|
resources; the organization has built a strong track record for |
|
retaining staff, and it has several internal committees devoted to |
|
wellness, diversity, and other areas of employee engagement; and |
|
WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center has |
|
furthered its vital mission by nurturing a strong relationship with |
|
its employees, and in so doing, it has set a commendable example for |
|
other organizations and businesses; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Williamson County Children's |
|
Advocacy Center on its selection as the 2023 Best Place to Work by |
|
the Round Rock Chamber and extend to the center's management and |
|
staff sincere best wishes for continued success with their |
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
