R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tom Ramsey received the 2022 Philanthropy Award from
  the Central Texas Community Foundation at the Round Rock Chamber's
  annual awards banquet held on February 15, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, In 2003, Mr. Ramsey launched Celebration of Love, a
  program focused on supporting families in need during the Christmas
  season; he continued to expand its efforts, and from a project
  serving 500 families during the holidays, it has grown into a
  year-round organization; the Reaching Out Center is a food pantry
  that also provides clothing and job training; in addition, it has
  furnished food, water, and other aid to victims of natural
  disasters; its Soldiers of America initiative, established in 2007,
  offers both financial and emotional support to soldiers and
  military veterans; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Ramsey created the Tom Ramsey Foundation in 2019
  to fill gaps in community services by building bridges between
  individuals, businesses, and civic organizations; Feed a Hero
  delivered food to hospital workers and first responders during
  2020; Mr. Ramsey's One Love, One World, One Community initiative
  has sought to assist communities in South and Central America where
  basic infrastructure is lacking; and
         WHEREAS, Through his tireless efforts, Tom Ramsey has helped
  to make a positive difference in Williamson County and far beyond,
  and he is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tom Ramsey on his receipt of the
  2022 Philanthropy Award from the Central Texas Community Foundation
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in his
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Ramsey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
