A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the maintenance of certain state buildings allocated |
|
|
for legislative use and their grounds. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2165.007, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) Notwithstanding Subsection (b) and except as otherwise |
|
|
provided by this subsection, the State Preservation Board is |
|
|
responsible for providing general building and grounds maintenance |
|
|
for the Sam Houston Building, the Robert E. Johnson Building and |
|
|
attached parking facilities, and the John H. Reagan Building. The |
|
|
commission shall maintain the heating, ventilation, and cooling |
|
|
systems and related equipment connected to the Sam Houston |
|
|
Building. This subsection may not be construed to specifically |
|
|
commit the control of any public buildings or grounds to the State |
|
|
Preservation Board for purposes of Section 2165.002 or any other |
|
|
law. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
