A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to a conveyance or bequest to a trust. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 114, Property Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 114.087 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 114.087. CONVEYANCE OR BEQUEST TO TRUST. A conveyance |
|
|
or bequest to a trust is considered a conveyance or bequest to the |
|
|
trustee of the trust. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 114.087, Property Code, as added by this |
|
|
Act, applies to a conveyance or bequest made on, before, or after |
|
|
the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
