A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

|
relating to a bond in an appeal from a hearing for probable cause in |
|
|
the towing or booting of a motor vehicle. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2308.459, Occupations Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 2308.459. APPEAL. An appeal from a hearing under this |
|
|
chapter is governed by the rules of procedure applicable to civil |
|
|
cases in justice court[, except that no appeal bond may be required |
|
|
by the court]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
