A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the cleaning of a structure used to grow oysters for |
|
|
cultivated oyster mariculture. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 75, Parks and Wildlife Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 75.01055 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 75.01055. CLEANING OF STRUCTURES USED FOR GROWING |
|
|
OYSTERS. A cultivated oyster mariculture permit holder may clean a |
|
|
structure used to grow oysters for cultivated oyster mariculture at |
|
|
the location where the permit holder is authorized to operate if the |
|
|
permit holder: |
|
|
(1) cleans the structure only with water from the |
|
|
location where the permit holder is authorized to operate; and |
|
|
(2) does not use soap, chemicals, or any other similar |
|
|
substance to clean the structure. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
