A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to county plat approval requirements related to water |
|
|
utility connections. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 232, Local Government |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 232.0036 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 232.0036. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: WATER UTILITY |
|
|
CONNECTIONS. As part of the required documentation for a plat |
|
|
application under Section 232.0025(a), the commissioners court of a |
|
|
county shall require the applicant to submit documentation showing |
|
|
that a water utility connection has been constructed or installed |
|
|
to service each lot in the subdivision. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to |
|
|
a plat application filed on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
