A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

Relating to Holocaust Remembrance Week in public schools. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Section 29.9072, Education Code, is amended to |
|
|
add 29.9072(d) as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 29.9072(d) The agency must review the implementation of |
|
|
Holocaust Remembrance Week at each school district. The agency may |
|
|
partner with the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission to assist |
|
|
in the implementation of Holocaust Remembrance Week at each school |
|
|
district. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
