SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
  WHEREAS, American Heritage Girl troops from across Texas are
  gathering in Austin on May 11, 2023, to celebrate American Heritage
  Girls Day at the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, For nearly three decades, the American Heritage
  Girls organization has sought to promote integrity through service
  to God, family, community, and country; girls ages 5 through 18 may
  participate in activities that are designed to encourage teamwork,
  build courage and confidence, and foster spiritual, character, and
  social development; and
         WHEREAS, The organization strives to help girls acquire life
  skills through a badge program that includes such subjects as
  personal well-being, the arts, and science and technology; today,
  it boasts membership in all 50 states and 15 countries around the
  world; and
         WHEREAS, By inspiring young women to achieve their greatest
  potential as engaged citizens and leaders, American Heritage Girls
  is enriching countless lives, and the group is indeed deserving of
  special praise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby recognize May 11, 2023, as American Heritage Girls Day at the
  State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting delegation.
