R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Pat Yancey was honored with induction into the Rodeo
  Hall of Fame at Tarleton State University on November 4, 2022; and
         WHEREAS, A renowned bull rider, Mr. Yancey gained acclaim as
  a member of the rodeo team at Tarleton State; he qualified for the
  College National Finals Rodeo in 1987, and his achievements during
  his senior year in 1989 included a second CNFR appearance as well as
  winning 8 of 17 events in the Southwest Region of the National
  Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, which earned him a regional
  title; and
         WHEREAS, At the professional level, Mr. Yancey was the Texas
  Circuit Rookie of the Year in 1988 and a four-time Texas Circuit
  finalist and a Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo qualifier in
  1995; the following year, he advanced to the Professional Bull
  Riders World Finals, and he qualified for the National Finals
  Rodeo; in recognition of his accomplishments, he was inducted into
  the All Cowboy & Arena Champions Hall of Fame in 2021; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Yancey received a business and criminal justice
  degree from Tarleton State in 1990; today, he is a proud member of
  the Tarleton Rodeo Alumni Chapter of the Tarleton Alumni
  Association; dedicated to giving back to the sport, he is actively
  involved in the rodeo community and has served as a mentor to young
  bull riders; moreover, through his roles of vice president and
  partner at TexCap Insurance in Dallas, he promotes the annual
  Cowboys & Cowboys Sky Ranch Gala, a collaboration between rodeo
  cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys football team that raises funds for
  scholarships and the Sky Ranch ministry; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of an exceptional career, Pat Yancey
  inspired rodeo fans across the Lone Star State and beyond, and he is
  indeed deserving of this prestigious accolade; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
  hereby congratulate Pat Yancey on his 2022 induction into the Rodeo
  Hall of Fame at Tarleton State University and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Yancey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  Senate.
