R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Capital of Texas Undergraduate Research |
|
|
Conference (CTURC) is taking place at The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin on March 4, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Organized by the UT Senate of College Councils' |
|
|
Undergraduate Research Committee and the Texas Undergraduate |
|
|
Research Journal, CTURC presents an opportunity for undergraduate |
|
|
student researchers from across the state of Texas to share their |
|
|
original research projects on a wide variety of topics ranging from |
|
|
science and medicine to sociology; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The mission of the conference is to provide a |
|
|
collaborative and interdisciplinary environment that promotes and |
|
|
emphasizes the importance of undergraduate research; the men and |
|
|
women attending the event represent a wide range of majors and |
|
|
institutions of higher learning; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Capital of Texas Undergraduate Research |
|
|
Conference brings together some of the brightest young minds in |
|
|
their fields of expertise, and the contributions they are making |
|
|
are helping our state and nation to remain at the forefront of |
|
|
research, scholarship, and innovation; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
|
hereby commemorate the 2023 Capital of Texas Undergraduate Research |
|
|
Conference and commend the UT Senate of College Councils' |
|
|
Undergraduate Research Committee and the Texas Undergraduate |
|
|
Research Journal for their work in organizing the event. |
