R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Honorable M. Rex Emerson retired from the 198th |
|
|
Judicial District Court in Kerr and Bandera Counties on |
|
|
December 31, 2022, after 13 years on the bench; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Licensed by the State Bar of Texas, Judge Emerson |
|
|
has worked as an attorney in Kerr County for more than two decades; |
|
|
he previously served as the Kerr County attorney, a position he held |
|
|
for five years, and he spent two years as the county's |
|
|
administrative judge; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, As a member of the Kerr County Juvenile Board, Judge |
|
|
Emerson has made vital contributions to the fair and proper |
|
|
administration of juvenile justice; moreover, he is a volunteer |
|
|
judge for the Kerr County Specialty Court, which he initiated in |
|
|
2019; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his dedication, professionalism, and |
|
|
commitment to the law, Judge Emerson has greatly benefited the |
|
|
citizens of Kerr County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his |
|
|
accomplishments as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his |
|
|
life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
|
hereby congratulate the Honorable M. Rex Emerson on his retirement |
|
|
from the 198th Judicial District Court and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Judge Emerson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
