SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 318
         WHEREAS, Dianne Gattuso, a longtime employee of the Office
  of the Secretary of State, has enjoyed an outstanding career with
  the State of Texas spanning five decades; and
         WHEREAS, Following an almost three-year tenure with the
  Texas Highway Department, Ms. Gattuso accepted a position with
  the Office of the Secretary of State on September 2, 1975; she
  served the agency with distinction for 27 years, and after a
  brief retirement, she rejoined the office's staff in December
  2002; she has held numerous roles with the agency, and she
  currently serves as the executive assistant and trademark
  administrator for the business filings division directors; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Gattuso's many responsibilities include
  helping with the preparation of quarterly reports, managing the
  phone systems, and providing assistance and support to the
  section's management; moreover, she has earned the respect and
  admiration of her colleagues for her dedication, generosity, and
  energetic nature; and
         WHEREAS, Through her hard work, skill, and
  professionalism, Dianne Gattuso has greatly benefited her
  agency and the citizens of the Lone Star State, and she is
  indeed deserving of recognition for her contributions; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, hereby honor Dianne Gattuso for her 50 years of
  service to the State of Texas and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Gattuso as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
