R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dianne Gattuso, a longtime employee of the Office of |
|
|
the Secretary of State, has enjoyed an outstanding career with the |
|
|
State of Texas spanning five decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Following an almost three-year tenure with the Texas |
|
|
Highway Department, Ms. Gattuso accepted a position with the Office |
|
|
of the Secretary of State on September 2, 1975; she served the |
|
|
agency with distinction for 27 years, and after a brief retirement, |
|
|
she rejoined the office's staff in December 2002; she has held |
|
|
numerous roles with the agency, and she currently serves as the |
|
|
executive assistant and trademark administrator for the business |
|
|
filings division directors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Gattuso's many responsibilities include helping |
|
|
with the preparation of quarterly reports, managing the phone |
|
|
systems, and providing assistance and support to the section's |
|
|
management; moreover, she has earned the respect and admiration of |
|
|
her colleagues for her dedication, generosity, and energetic |
|
|
nature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her hard work, skill, and professionalism, |
|
|
Dianne Gattuso has greatly benefited her agency and the citizens of |
|
|
the Lone Star State, and she is indeed deserving of recognition for |
|
|
her contributions; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
|
hereby honor Dianne Gattuso for her 50 years of service to the State |
|
|
of Texas and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Gattuso as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
